In veterinary medicine, no two cases are the same. Every patient, every family, and every clinical situation comes with its own set of variables and that reality shapes how I think about the options I offer in practice.

For me, AlphaFlo® fits into that conversation in a meaningful way. It is not about replacing surgery or other established approaches. It is about having an additional option available when circumstances call for it, whether that is a patient who is not a good surgical candidate, a family navigating financial constraints, or an owner who wants to explore every avenue before committing to an invasive procedure.

Orthopedic and soft tissue cases are where I have found AlphaFlo® most useful as part of my workflow. As veterinarians, we know that surgical intervention is often the gold standard recommendation for many of these cases. But we also know that the path to surgery is not always straightforward. Having a ready-to-use option that can be incorporated into a care plan at my discretion gives me more flexibility in how I approach those conversations with clients.

What I appreciate from a practical standpoint is the simplicity of the application. Many orthobiologic options currently available require substantial blood collection volumes and in-house processing before use. AlphaFlo® is cryopreserved, ready to thaw, and can be administered in a volume tailored to the individual patient. That kind of consistency and accessibility matters in a clinical setting.

Beyond orthopedic applications, I have also found value in considering AlphaFlo® as part of a broader approach to canine wellness. Not every dog presenting to my practice has a significant injury or advanced degenerative joint disease, yet many are aging patients whose owners are looking for thoughtful, proactive options to support their dog’s comfort and quality of life as they get older. AlphaFlo® has given me another tool to consider within that context.

At its core, what draws me to AlphaFlo® is that it aligns with how I think about patient care. Individualized, practical, and focused on giving every dog and their family meaningful options at every stage of life.
