CASE STUDY: Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Case Presentation: On February 8, 2024, an 8-year-old, spayed female Doberman Pinscher presented with a mass on the right craniolateral mandible. Biopsy samples revealed a squamous cell carcinoma. At the discretion of the veterinarian, 2.0 cc of AlphaFlo® was implanted under and around the mass without mass removal.

On February 21, 2024, only 13 days after AlphaFlo® was implanted, the mass had significantly decreased in size compared to the initial mass. Light blunt debridement was performed using gauze by the veterinarian.

On March 4, 2024, 25 days following the AlphaFlo® implantation, the mass was almost completely gone with only slight edema remaining based on visual inspection.

On April 29, 2024, 81 days following AlphaFlo® implantation, the gum tissue looked healthy and normal at examination with no sign of recurrent mass present.
